If you think that colonizing Mars is just a crazy, unreachable plan, we have some news for you. Elon Musk and his company SpaceX are working very hard on this project. Keep reading if you’re interested in finding out more details.
What is Elon Musk‘s plan?
Well, his plan is to colonize Mars by 2025. Even if seems unbelievable, SpaceX will send people to Mars for permanent residence. There’s a lot to do before this will actually happen and the company is working on other projects too.
SpaceX is developing a new spacecraft
A spacecraft made by SpaceX and called Starship is now being tested. Its big goal is to make happen through it the first commercial flight in history. Starship wants to do that by 2021. If you’re wondering how are they going to do that, we have the answer for you. Instead of using Falcon 9 or Falcon Heavy, a satellite will be sent into space by using Starship.
Also, its next ambitious goal will be to reach Mars by 2022. If this mission will be a success, SpaceX will be able to start the project that aims to colonize Mars.
Another interesting fact that we heard and we want to share with you is that the people won’t be aboard on the first mission to Mars. We all know that Yusaku Maezawa was the one who purchased all the spaces available for the first commercial flight. The next part of the Big Falcon Rocket project will be to send Starship to Mars. As we said before, this mission it’s supposed to happen until 2025.
Another company that wants to send colonies to Mars is the United Arab Emirates. We’ll see which company will accomplish that first.
This is all we have on the big project that aims to colonize Mars. We’ll keep you updated.
Karen and her husband live on a plot of land in British Columbia. They aim to grow and raise a significant part of their food by maintaining a vegetable garden, keeping a flock of backyard chickens and foraging. They are also currently planning a move to a small cabin they hand built. Karen’s academic background in nutrition made her care deeply about real food and seek ways to obtain it. Thus sprung Anna’s interest in backyard gardening, chicken and goat keeping, recycling and self-sufficiency.
